Mike Cowan is an avid canoeist and civil engineer since 1982.  Areas of practice include NPDES permitting, construction erosion control, and stormwater runoff mitigation/design.  Cowan, wife Barbara, and daughter Sophia live in North Shelby County.  Having lived in other parts of the country, they are continually inspired by the paradise of Alabama rivers and natural resources.
